My Question or Issue

Why Spotify won't fix this bug where the card issuing country and account country are basically the same yet can't even subscribe?
I thought there was a problem on my account and ended up creating a new one still I cannot subscribe.

Similar question - I moved to Ireland but my finances/credit cards are still registered in the USA. Spotify won't recognize my card info to pay for Premium. Thanks.

If the error states that the country is not matching, then there is an issue either with the account or the payment method. Consider the following:

  • Make sure the country of the payment method matches that of your account. This setting may not be what you think it is initially due to various settings, such as with PayPal. You can double check this with the specific payment provider
  • Check your account page to make sure the account country is also correct. If needed, change it to the right one.
  • If you use a VPN, disable it, at least during the payment process.

Thank you for reaching out. I'm using a Visa card issued by the country where I currently reside, and my Spotify account is registered in the same country. I've tried various methods to resolve the issue, and I am not using a VPN or any third-party payment gateway.

Try in an incognito window, as well as on different devices and in different networks. If the issue persists despite all the steps so far, feel free to reach out to our support team, they can assist you further. Make sure to have all of your payment information on hand, as our team will need it to find the payments and verify you as the account owner.

useless af reply from mod smh

I have been paying and using Spotify premium for more than 2 years with my same card but now that the card expired and I had it changed at the bank, Spotify does not accept the new card, and I don't know why

i have the same problem.

Hello, I paid with PayPal 5 minutes ago, but the premium was not activated, and the amount was deducted from my card. It said that PayPal and your country do not match or something like that... What's going on?
