upgrading to family premium

Hi, I've recently decided to upgrade to Family Premium and have cancelled my previous Premium subscription which I paid with using my iTunes account. I went back onto Spotify after canceling to upgrade to Family but it still isn't working. Do I have to wait for my previous subscription to expire?

Yes, you'll have to wait until your current subscription has expired.
