won’t accept correct visa card details

won’t accept correct visa card details

every time i put in my card it doesn’t work even though i put in the correct details it just keeps saying “The payment failed. Please try again, use a different payment card or a different payment method.” and i know it’s not funds

Hey there,

 

Thanks for coming to the Community.

 

I recommend making sure your payment method is:

  • Registered in the same country to your Spotify account.
  • Not expired or canceled.
  • Enabled for foreign, secure online, and recurring purchases. Look for these settings in your bank’s mobile app.

Also, make sure your bank or payment provider has your correct details. They may need to verify your identity for security, ex. with a password, PIN, fingerprint, or code sent to your device.

I've tried two different cards and this is still happening to me - can I please get some help

I'd recommend entering your payment details again using a private/incognito window to see if that does the trick. You can also try this with another browser or another device.

 

If the issue persists, it's worth using a different payment method (if available), such as PayPal, Google Play, etc.

 

Keep in mind that if you make too many failed attempts, the system may flag this and automatically reject any further attempts, in which case I'd suggest waiting 24 hours before trying again.
