An offline mode that works most of the time, if not always, just like before.

An offline mode that works most of the time, if not always, just like before.

  • First of all, it's more likely to be a bug report but I'm not sure so I'll put it here for now :
  • In offline mode, editing playlists(even downloaded ones) and sometimes even opening them(the downloaded ones) is impossible. I would like to request that feature back as I am often offline.

Both have a lot of value to me but not being able to change the song besides next and previous one because no playlist opens is really hindering my experience as a long-time user of the app, and this problem persists since a few months so I thought I'd share this here

Hey @tillterran,

Thanks for reaching out!
What you've described isn't the expected behaviour of the app, so let's try to fix things up 🙂

We could start by removing the cached data saved on your device.
Should the issue persist after this, we could instead install a completely fresh copy of the app.
To do this, follow these steps to clear all Spotify-related data from your device and to then install the app anew.

Note: Keep in mind that both of these actions will remove all data downloaded for offline use. Your songs and podcasts will re-download after this, but we do recommend going over these steps when you have Wi-Fi access in case your mobile data plan has more limitations.

Keep us posted on how things go! We'll be on the lookout.

Hello,

Thank you for the quick answer, I tried out clearing the cache, and it might be working as a sollution, though I'm not sure as it didn't always happen and I only changed that 3 mins ago. I will let you know if the problem still happens even after clearing all data if it does happen again.
