Android locally downloaded files not displaying

Android locally downloaded files not displaying

Hi,

I am a premium user in the UK.

I have an S9 with V10 Android OS

I play in a band, I have MP3 recordings that I have downloaded from google drive into my downloads folder on my mobile. I want to be able to add those downloaded MP3s to  a playlist so I can listen through spotify.

I have local files turned on, I have also upgraded to the latest version. i have cleared the cache but everytime I go into my new playlist to add songs, local files folder appears but none of the downloaded mp3's in my mobile downloads folder appear so i can't add them to a playlist.

Is this actually achievable? Just seems ridiculously difficult to add my own stuff on my mobile.

I have read lots of threads, I shouldn't have to use my desktop to achieve anything on my mobile device.

Thanks

Hey @leeby,

Thanks for posting in the Community.

Could you start with going through this FAQ page to see if the steps there help you out?

It's also worth performing a clean reinstall of the app as described here

If this still doesn't resolve the issue, could you try using a different account on your phone to see if the experience persists?

On another note, were you able to use any local files at all, no matter if the ones you want to use or not?

Keep us posted,

Cheers!
