can't transfer liked songs to a playlist

can't transfer liked songs to a playlist

Today I reached the 10k song limit on my main playlist and decide I wanted to transfer that playlist onto my liked songs so I could continue adding new music as much as I wanted. However, I still wanted to save the 4000 songs I'd added to my liked songs. I used ctrl A to add the tracks to a new playlist, and then liked all the 10k songs. But after doing this on PC it wouldnt allow me to change the thumbnail nor title of the new playlist. I opened Spotify on my phone and I saw the changed had saved but there were no songs on the playlist. I tried using multiple methods to add the songs from the faulty playlist to a new one but they did mot work. I signed out and back in again to see if it had gone back to normal and now the playlist with all my previously liked songs is empty and i have no way of retrieving them. I have no idea why Spotify a) was unable to add liked songs to a new playlist, b) the playlist appeared differently on different devices and c) does not allow me to reset to my old liked songs. It's infuriating that 5 years of progress in curating a list of my favourite songs within the ones I like have been completely wiped out and with no way to retrieve them. Any help would be greatly appreciated as I don't want to have to sift through a playlist of 10 thousand songs to find my favourites.

Hey @matrixpolaris,

Thanks for posting in the Community.

It may be challenging for the app to move thousands of song titles in the backend. Maybe this was the reason. You could try smaller chunks next time.

If you can't see your liked songs on any device (mobile and desktop), we advise you to contact our customer support team, so they can have a look at your account and revert the changes in the Liked Songs collection. You can find out how to do that on this page

Hope this helps,

Cheers!
