My Question or Issue
It seems like the blend algorithm is promoting some artists/songs a lot more than others, and bypassing actual compatibility clusters.
For example, I have created blends with 9 different people and they ALL include the same Taylor Swift song. To test things out, I unliked the song, waited a day, then created a 10th blend with someone who exclusively listens to Metal. The blend was mostly metal (as expected) but still included the SAME Taylor Swift song (even after I had unliked it a day before).
Iโm not sure if this is a bug or if the algorithm is intentionally biased towards some content. Either way, I love the concept and Iโm hoping updates will solve this types of issues and make playlists more cohesive.

For me it seems it will always blend the same songs on my side, i tried it with a bunch of people, they all got the same songs from my blend.
Hey @ohnqa5i!
Thanks for reaching out on the Community.
We'll be sure to pass on your feedback to the correct team. Blend tends to take the most listsned songs from both users and sometimes if you listen to certain songs a lot they could show up in a Blend even if they don't exactly match with the taste of the other person.
I also get that behavior from time to time and I use the option on Mobile Hide this song to tell the algorithm that I don't want to see it in the list.
Blend playlist functionality is still being improved and we hope it'll get better and more accurate with time.
Hope this info helps!
Hi @veevargas,
Thank you for your reply.
The Hide this Song feature will get the song removed from that specific blend, unfortunately it won't be exported to other blends.
In this case, we suggest you take a look at the idea shared by @Eni if you haven't. A feature to manually refresh the list will certainly be a benefit in these situations.

For me I created 10 blends and none of them a single taylor swift songs even though some people o created blend with listen to a lot of ts songs and same for me.
same, i can't make a ts song appear on a blend to save my life
I have the exact same problem. It really annoys me because I barely then have any songs in the blends so itโs pointless
