My Question or Issue

I’ve used the Spotify app on Xbox One and now Xbox Series X for a very long time, and have always been able to play from and shuffle playlists of considerable size, recently I’ve liked a few hundred more songs and now cannot play from my liked songs. (Worked at 10,000+ songs, but the current 11,000+ is not playable.) Any other playlist I choose from will play songs quickly, even ones with several thousand songs, but upon trying to play from my Liked, the playing track will pause, and nothing will happen. Upon investigating this issue I’ve noted several others with large playlists having the exact same issue with playback, specifically on the xbox app. I have tried playing on another device and using the “connect” feature to play to the xbox, I receive a long “connecting” message that doesn’t seem to resolve. If this is a known issue is there a certain cap, either song count or number of actual hours of music within a playlist that I can cut down to adhere to? I can only attribute the issue to the size of my liked songs, but have not resorted to unliking thousands of songs, for obvious reasons, to confirm this theory.

Hey @Hahafunnymeme,

Thanks for posting in the Community.

The described behavior is to be expected with big number of songs in your Liked Songs collection. In this thread there are proposals on how to alleviate the occurrence of this issue.

Hope this helps,

Cheers!
