Cannot Create Public Playlist

Solved!

Cannot Create Public Playlist

I am using Spotify Windows App (1.1.66.580.gbd43cbc9-a) and cannot make any playlist PUBLIC. It does not even show up on the menu, in the app, website or Phone app.  I've been sharing playlists for years and current have many public playlists, but now I cannot create a new one. I've only seen one other post with this issue but there was no solution except, "yes, you should be able to make a playlist public".
I would covet any help on this, please...

Hey there folks,

Thanks for reaching out about this here in the Community.

@beclause, we removed the option to make playlists public/private from the right-click menu on the desktop app. We added a new feature 'Add to/Remove from profile' instead which can be accessed by right clicking any playlists from the profile on the desktop app. For more info, check this article.

Hi.

From what I can see, your version isn't up to date. Please make sure that you update your version of spotify.

Hope this helps.

Thank you for your quick reply.
The “update” was the first thing I checked, for both Spotify and Windows and my computer told me I had the latest. Besides, I see the same thing on the web version as well as my phone.
I have resolved this issue and it’s as simple as the fact that you no longer call them “public playlists “. Instead, the proceedure is called “add to profile”. All of the tutorials I saw must have been old.
All is good now, thx
