My Question or Issue

I have been trying to remove You’re a Mean One, Mr. Grinch from my Christmas playlist for the last two years. Everything I have tried has failed. I click on “Remove from Playlist”, and it removes it for a split second, then it pops right back into the playlist. The playlist is not a collaborative playlist, I am the only person in control of it. The song was previously, accidentally “liked”, but I have since removed the “like” from the song. I attempted to edit the playlist and remove the song that way, and it did not reappear, but when I went back to the playlist, it was there.

Hey @xxshaelxx,

Thanks for posting in the Community and welcome.

In this case, we'd suggest you double-check the playlist settings to be sure it is not collaborative, and you're the only one with access to it. If you created the playlist, you can go to the three-dot menu of the playlist>make it private. If the playlist is collaborative, you'll see the following pop-up message "Only you and people you invite can view this playlist". If you can't see the mentioned option, it means the playlist was created by someone else and you're a collaborator.

Now, once you've double-checked that, and if the playlist is indeed collaborative, and you created it, you can remove any collaborators by following these steps. Then, you can try and remove the mentioned song. Give it a try and let us know how it goes.

If the above doesn't do the trick, we'd suggest you create a new playlist, by creating a copy of the one in which you noticed this behavior. You can do this by going to the three-dot menu of the playlist and select Add to other playlist option:

You can create a new playlist or add those songs to an existing one. Once you've proceeded with creating the copy, try removing the aforementioned song to see if you notice any difference. Give it a try and let us know how it goes.

Keep us in the loop!
