Copying a playlist with same sorting options

Copying a playlist with same sorting options

It doesn't really work as my songs are in correct order but new songs I add go to the bottom, is there any way to change that?

Hey @Motumbom,

Thanks for posting in the Community and welcome.

We hope you don't mind us moving your post, as it fits better here in this new thread.

That being said, we'd like to add some insights. It's expected that songs will automatically be added at the bottom of a playlists, but it's important to mentioned this depends on the sorting option your playlist is set. So, let's take a look at the options:

By default, all playlists are set in the Custom order option. When you add a song with this sort option on, all new songs will be added at the bottom. The same happens when you sort the playlist by Date added

If you sort the playlist by Title, Artist, Album or Duration, when you add a song to it, the track will be added on a position depending on the sorting option on.

You can also change the order by clicking a second time on the same sorting option. By default you'll see next to the name of the sort option, but by hitting a second time you'll see . This will reverse the order of the playlist, but keeping the original option you selected. For example, if you selected the Title option, it'll be set from A to Z, but reversing the order will set it from Z to A. It looks like this:

You can read a little more about sorting options in this article.

If you're having inconveniences with this options in your device, it'll help us a lot if you send us a description of what it's exactly happening on your side. Send us the make/model and OS of the affected device along with the Spotify version you're running.

Hope this clears things up. If you have any questions or need anything else, the Community is here for you.
