Delay when playing downloaded Liked Songs in Shuffle mode [iOS]

For the past week or two I've noticed that when I select downloaded songs manually in my Liked Songs while Shuffle is on, there is a delay of a few seconds that never used to be. The delay goes away if I disable Shuffle (or Smart Shuffle) mode, and it does not seem to happen on other playlists. I have around 3,500 tracks in my Liked Songs. 

I have tried clearing the cache, logging in/out, restarting phone. The issues happens whether on WiFi or cellular.

I suspect that the number of songs might have something to do with this, so it'd be great if you can test this out with a different account. You can ask a friend or relative to log in their own account on your device and download their Liked Songs and then play them in Shuffle mode. I know this might be time-consuming, but this way we can determine if it's that's the cause. If you have another device available, you can also try downloading them on it to see if you experience the same thing.

I came here to comment I am having this exact same issue. I’ve deleted and reinstalled the app, cleared cache, changed download music quality, restored my phone. It all continues to happen. When shuffle is off it works normally. This happened pretty recently, I suspect the last app update **bleep** things up. Please Spotify fix this, it’s extremely annoying
