Discover Weekly Provides Suggestions based on only one song

Discover Weekly Provides Suggestions based on only one song

I have one song that I play on repeat while I sleep **Marconi Union - Weightless** and now my discover weekly playlist is nothing but similar instrumental music, and nothing relative to my large liked songs or anything else on my regular rotation. I can't find any way to dislike the song, it's not liked... I don't know what to do.

Hey there @SlanderousHog, welcome to the community, and thanks for your post. Unfortunately, there's not a quick fix to this issue, but I would recommend that when you're listening to music like that you place your app in private mode, which will prevent anything from that session from influencing your personalized playlists. You can find instructions to enable private listening on your platform of choice at this page. Over time, your taste profile should adjust to better reflect your music tastes.

Can private mode be used if streaming on a Google device?

Hey @SlanderousHog,

Thanks for keeping in touch.

We're afraid that the Private session feature can't be used while using Connect to stream from another device. However, we understand how this would be useful, so we recommend heading to our Ideas board to see if someone else has already submitted that idea. If there isn't any, you can follow these steps to submit your idea. The more votes an idea gets, the more likely it's to be implemented.

You can read more about how feedback on ideas reaches Spotify here.

If you have any questions or need anything else, we're always a post away.

Cheers!
