My Question or Issue

The dislike button has not been working for at least 2 months now. Whenever I dislike an artist or song from Release Radar or Discover Weekly, it will show up every other week regardless of whether I've disliked a song or the artist itself. I thought maybe I could go to the artist page itself and block it, but there is no such option. I've also uninstalled the app off of Desktop and my Android phone and nothing works.

This is a simple coding issue with "If" statements. How is this function not working?

Thanks for posting in the Community.

Could you have a look at this thread, where users have reported similar experiences and we have posted relevant information on the subject?

Hope this helps,

Cheers!

Thank you for giving me this thread. I don't want to come across as terse or rude, but did you read the thread you gave me? I have seen so many threads like this with the same complaint and no solution. It appears that, and I quote from the thread you gave me:

"

Hi Jeremy,

Sure seems like the service I'm paying for is trying to gaslight me into believing I somehow misunderstood this message:

"Got it. From now on we won't put [artist] in Release Radar."

How else could you understand it beside the obvious, "you're not going to see this artist in this feature from now on"?

I understand an acknowledgement won't change the way this (obvious) bug is handled, but I just can't leave it at a point where you claim its all of us who are wrong when we read this simple message and that our expectations of the feature are unreasonable.

So not resolved, not taken care of, and apparently not acknowledged by Spotify as a bug or problem. If this feature only applies to the playlist in general, there should be an actual blocking feature on the Artists page to prevent this from happening.

However, I do question that since this problem has been going on for so long, the issue is not being dealt with because either the programmers don't know what caused the bug or simply do not care. Regardless, the way this is being handled is making me question if Spotify is the best service to actually continue with if every customer having this problem doesn't feel heard or acknowledged because this isn't a feature.
