Does a clean reinstall delete all aspects of my library or just my offline storage

Does a clean reinstall delete all aspects of my library or just my offline storage

My Question or Issue

Simple question not explicitly answered in the FAQ: I'm having lots of issues with Spotify and have read I should try a clean reinstall. The FAQ says a clean reinstall will delete all my offline storage, meaning I'll have to redownload albums, songs, podcasts, etc. No problem as long as Spotify still remembers which albums, songs and podcasts to redownload.

So is it correct to infer that a clean reinstall will *not* erase my library (i.e. liked albums, artists I'm following, song likes, podcast subscriptions) and the history used to make recommendations?

I will never be able to remember all the albums I've liked, podcasts I've subscribed to, etc. If a clean reinstall will delete this information, it seems like an unsatisfactory solution because I'll lose the record of all the great artists and albums I've discovered over the last couple years.

Hey @SillySausage1,

Thanks for posting here on the Community 🙂

No worries. This step won't lead to deleting the content that you've liked.

If you run a clean reinstall, you will delete the cache. This is a very good troubleshooting steps as cache can lead to different issues.

Hope this was helpful for you. The Community is here for you if there's anything else!
