Hey @jag616,

Thanks for reaching out on the Community!

In March 2023, the  Heart button started being replaced with a (+) Plus button for saving things to Your Library. Things that have been saved to Your Library will now show a green ✔ Check icon instead of a green Heart icon.

Take a look here for more info on thing look. Hope the info helps!

Cheers!

The (+) doesn't apply to songs on the mobile app. I am actively listening
to a song that I have never "liked" before, nor have I saved the album to
my library, but it has a green (+) enabled, so what does this apply to? The
artist?

When I select the additional menu options, I only see "Add to playlist" or
"Add to queue" so the new UI is inconsistent and confusing.

there a time line for when they'll revert and fix these problems? Interacting with the app is just worse.

Hey folks!

@jag616, the green checkmark indicates that the song/episode is saved in Your Library: this could be your Liked Songs or perhaps another one of your playlists. You can tap it to see which of your playlists it appears on. With the introduction of the (+) button, the previous "Add to your Liked Songs" button was removed from the context menu on the mobile app, but its functionality was kept under the "Add to playlist" button, which now allows you to save tracks in your Liked Songs playlist as well.

@Adam1313, I'm afraid that we don't have any info at this time. Our tech folks are often trying out different features and making improvements to the app. As Spotify constantly evolves, its interface and features are bound to change over time. Your feedback on this is greatly appreciated, so thanks for sharing it here. Rest assured it has been forwarded to the relevant team.

The Community's always here if there's anything else you need assistance with.

Take care.

It's functionality wasn't kept in my version, because I still don't see which songs are liked and there's basically no point to the liked list at all now. Should just be blank with "create playlists" basically. It does not function the same.

Then why does it show enabled for songs I've never liked?

Yes, this is exactly my experience as well.

The green check mark is active and if I click on it I am taken to options
to add to a playlist. The menu for additional options only displays "Add to
queue" and "Add to playlist" as I have already mentioned.
