How to add album covers to local files?

I've been adding songs to my phone via the local files feature from my desktop and was wondering if there was anyway that I could get album art onto the songs I downloaded from my desktop so that there isn't just a big question mark when the song pops up. A lot of the files that I downloaded off the internet already have cover art embedded in them so that when I play the song from the local files playlist it shows art on my desktop, but when I play the song back on my phone there is still a question mark. Any suggestions?
