I can't listen to my audiobooks anymore. What happened?

They are still in my library, but I get a message that the files can't be found. I tried both on my pc and in the app on my phone.

Hey,

Thanks for reaching out.

Can you send us a few screenshots of the error message and how things look on your end? Also, try logging out and back in a couple of times and make sure you're accessing the correct account.

If you're using the same internet connection for your phone and pc, try a different one and see if the behavior persists.

We'll be on the lookout for your response.

I was able to listen to all my audiobooks up till last night, but they are all locked now. Why is that?

Hey there @berrvdh,

Thanks for your reply here and welcome.

Just to confirm, have you recently changed plans? Remember that free Audiobooks are supported only for certain plans. These are:

  • Premium Individual (Student offer not included)
  • Premium Duo (manager only)
  • Premium Family (manager only)

If you recently change plans to one that is not supported, that might explain why you see the audiobooks blocked.

If perhaps you directly purchased the audiobooks, we'd suggest you log out and log in twice in a row onto your Spotify account. This could sound a little bit odd, but this way the system will force a resync of your account in general. If that doesn't do the trick, we'd like to check: does that happen across all your devices?

Keep us in the loop!
