My Question or Issue

I have years worth of👍🏻music in my liked music playlist on youtube music and have years of music in my liked songs playlist on Spotify. I would like to migrate off of YT music to just spotify. I have tried the most popular playlist transfer services, and they work fine for manually curated playlists but none of them seem to transfer the auto generated playlists when you like a song. I even tried using python but couldn't get it to authenticate to YTM. Any successfully do this without manually having to do it?

Hey @telletubbybybeb, welcome to the Spotify Community! 🎵

It looks like you have already tried the available options. However, there is no such direct tool that can help you transfer the library contents.

One thing I can suggest is that you can use the batch edit options in YouTube Music.

  1. Open the playlist that you want to transfer
  2. Hover over the songs and use the checkbox on the extreme right
  3. Use keyboard shortcuts like SHIFT + CLICK to select multiple songs
  4. Add them to a new playlist and name it serial-wise so it is easier to recognize
  5. Once you copy all the songs you can transfer those playlists instead of the auto-generated one
  6. On Spotify, you can combine them all into a single playlist or add/save them all to the liked songs easily

Note: Use third-party tools and services at your own risk. They can get access to your accounts and perform actions. If you still decide to use them, remember to disconnect from both ends to make sure there is no more access to your account.

I hope this helps, feel free to get in touch if you need anything else. 🙂
