Left sidebar gets resized whenever I maximize the window

My Issue

The left sidebar has three "modes":
A) pictures only

B) album names

C) album names with additional information about them.

My issue occurs only when it's in mode B.

1. Resize the sidebar so that it doesn't have the default width,

2. move/resize the window but don't minimize or maximize it,

3. now maximize the window in any of the ways possible - notice that the sidebar width has been set to the largest width possible for mode B.

This should not happen, the width I set it to should be remembered. I always set it to the minimum possible for mode B to align its width with the width of the enlarged song image that's in the bottom left corner above title and author - now I can't.

I started using "Now played" as a replacement for the removed "big album image at bottom left" thing. I noticed that its width also gets reset to 1/3 of the window width on every maximization of the window.
The original issue still exists.
