'Liked songs' not updating on a device

My Question or Issue

 

Due to the recent update of the amount of 'liked songs' being updated to infinity (I believe) I could finally have all my music in one place. Now that it is in one list (the liked songs list) I can see them all in one place, except for my laptop. I still see the list from a week ago on this device. I can see it on my iMac, my iPhone and on the web player of Spotify, but the desktop app seems to be unable to update this list, while it does update my playlists. I have already tried logging in again and re-installing the desktop app, which did not work. What can I try to see the updated list on this device as well? (without using the web player that is).

It's good that you tried reinstalling the desktop app as this step might help with synchronization issues between devices. But in case this didn't do the trick, we'd recommend performing a clean (more thorough) reinstall of the Spotify app. It'll let you start afresh with Spotify on your MacBook and avoid issues with your cache. Check out this help page to find the steps for clean reinstall on the affected device. 

 

Make sure all your devices are connected to the same network while clean reinstalling to speed up synchronization.
