Local files playing for 5-10 seconds then moving on

My Question or Issue

Whenever I try to play a local file, doesn't mater the file type (I did mp3, midi, and wav files) they play for 5-10 seconds before moving on to the next song in queue. A small fix I found is putting the song on 1 loop but that has its own problems of hearing the first 10 seconds 3 times and doing this for every time I listen to a local file. I have restarted my phone and reinstalled spotify. Is there any fix to this?

In addition to the millions of tracks that Spotify offers, you can still use the app to listen to local files from your device.

Note: To open a file using Spotify, you need to allow access in your device's settings.

  1. Click Home .
  2. Click Preferences .
  3. Switch to Show this device's audio files .
