Login to multiple family accounts at the same time

Login to multiple family accounts at the same time

I’d like to be able to set up one of our family accounts to be used exclusively on Alexa but be able to control it with the Spotify app on my iPhone. The problem is having my account on Alexa is that I can’t listen when out at the same time as someone listening at home on Alexa. I want to be able to listen to my account on phone without interference but also be able to control what’s playing on Alexa with my phone as it can be hard to find the right tracks or playlist via voice alone

Hey @albyhx,

Thank you for reaching out to the Community. We hope you don't mind us moving your post out of the ideas section to one of our Help boards as it fits better here.

The option to control the playback on the same speaker from multiple accounts is already implemented. With the Group session on speaker, all joined users can add tracks to the queue and control the playback from their own account.

To do so, you just need to leave an account logged into your Alexa (different from yours) and start a Group session on speaker, so anyone connected to the same network can join it by following the steps mentioned in this article

In case you want to use your account again without affecting the playback on the speaker, you can leave the group session anytime, so you can start listening on your own device.

Hope this helps. If you have any additional questions, don't hesitate to ask.
