Hi, I made a playlist earlier today but now it has disappeared. I looked through the spotify help section and googled etc but no luck. It's not in the 'recover playlists' list. In fact I've never deleted any playlists before so there are no playlists there. I created it in the only account I ever use.
The only out-of-the-ordinary thing I did today was sign into my account on the spotify.com website to see if I could copy multiple songs into a new playlist. That's when I noticed the playlist was gone. I then downloaded the spotify app for the Mac and it wasn't there either. And then I noticed it had disappeared from my iPad which is where I created it and where I always listen to spotify.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions
Hi there @1180039591,
Thank you for reaching out to the Community.
In this case we suggest that you perform a clean reinstall of the app. This will make sure there's no old cache files causing this.
After you followed the steps above, can you try to create a new playlist and let us know how it goes?
We'll keep an eye out for your reply.
Take care!
Hi Jeremy, would I risk losing my saved playlists etc if I perform a clean and thorough re-install of the app?
Hey @1180039591,
Thanks for your reply.
Not to worry. Your playlists will remain the same as it will only delete your downloads. However, you can download your music again after the reinstall.
Keep us posted on how it goes.
Hi Novy,
Thanks for the reply. I'm following the steps to re-install spotify at the link provided by Jeremy above. I'm concerned at the step where you delete the app because it says 'This action should delete any leftover documents and data' and on my iPad it says 'this action cannot be undone'. What are these leftover documents and data that will be deleted?
Thanks
Hi @1180039591,
Thank you for getting back to us.
Keep in mind that the clean reinstall is meant to delete all the Spotify files on your device in order to make sure that no files are causing the issue you're experiencing. This includes downloads and app cache in general.
If this doesn't do the trick, could you confirm if the same thing happens to a new playlist?
We'll be on the lookout.
Hi,
Hallo
Was ist da los ??
Hi folks,
Thank you for posting on this thread.
@kierdenqrst Even if the playlist was created while being offline, it shouldn't be removed from your Library. We'd like to rule out all possible reasons for this issue, including your account being vulnerated.
In this case, please check out this article and follow the steps under Still have access to your account? and Lost anything?
@Bubi6 Hope you don't mind us replying in English, as it is the official language of our Community. To start, please head to this link to try to recover your removed playlists.
If you're not able to, follow the steps shared by @Jeremy and the steps I just sent in this post. Let us know how it goes.
We'll be on the lookout!
