My Question or Issue

Sometime last week my top song of the year changed to a song I haven't listened to hardly at all. I took a photo of my Top 5 when Wrapped first came out this year and my top 5 was correct. Then I took a look at it sometime last week because I just randomly did, and now all of a sudden it has changed to "Unlove You" by Armin Van Buren. Quick note: this is not photoshopped, the minutes are literally unchanged after it popped up as my top song.

It wasn't the first time this song had randomly popped up over the year because it popped up at the top of my "On Repeat" Playlist. Again, I never listened to that song repeatedly, maybe once on a radio station.

Super weird, wondering if it's a bug that is somehow registering that I'm listening to it a lot even when I haven't.

Hey @burnout2k,

Thanks for reaching out to us about this.

Sorry to hear that this is happening to you - it does sound like it might be an issue which is specific to your account, since we haven't seen any other reports of the app behaving like this from other users.

With this in mind, we're going to treat this as feedback and pass it on to the right team. In the meantime, could you keep an eye out for any other instances in which the song you mentioned randomly pops up?

If the issue persists, we suggest you create a new account and transfer any saved music and playlists you have by following the steps in this Spotify Answer.

Hope that helps! Let us know if you have any questions about any of the above.
