My Question or Issue

I have a lot of playlists and I can play them all myself, but when my friends go to my profile they can only open the most played playlists. When they push the button 'See all' they just get a black screen and they can't see or open any playlist. I had this issue before but than it went away after a while, but since it is happening again I am wondering what the reason of this could be.

When I search myself up on spotify this also happens for myself, I always get a black screen with nothing on it, not even an error message. This happens for everything on my profile, from most listened artists, top tracks this month to followers and following, littarly none of the 'See all' buttons work on my account and this everyone has this problem on my account. I can use the 'See all' button on other accounts without problems to, so I figured that it is really a problem on my account.

I did test it on my phone and on my phone I can see more playlists with the 'see all' button.

I attached two pictures, one where I'm on my account with my mouse on the 'See all' button, the second is what happens when I push that button (I edited it so that my friends activity wasn't visible for privacy and things like that but that normally always shows up).

Hey there @ernie9

Thanks for reaching out here in the Community.

We'd first recommend performing a clean reinstall of the desktop app. This is often an overlooked step, but it’s more thorough than a regular one and can be helpful to get rid of any cache that might be causing trouble.

If this doesn't do the trick, can you confirm if this is only happening on your profile or if you've noticed the same behavior on a different profile?

We'll be on the lookout for your reply.

I tried reinstalling the app, that didn't work.
I checked it with my friends and they don't have this problem with other profiles, the only one they can't see properly is mine...

Hi @ernie9,

Thanks for trying and keeping us posted.

This seems to be indeed related to your account. In this case, try creating a new account and test how it behaves for a couple of days. You can follow these steps to transfer all your playlists to the new account so you can try and see if the same happens in that account.

Keep us posted on how it goes.

Isn't there another way to do this, since I will lose my listening time, followers and playlist follows like this?

Hi again @ernie9,

Thanks for your reply.

This might happen if you have a large collection of playlists/songs, but since this is isolated to your account, we can't know for sure what might be causing it.

You can reach out to our Support team through any of these channels to see if they can give you a hand transferring your playlists and followers to a new account.

Hope this helps. If you need a hand with anything else, the Community is here for you.

Cheers!

This is also happening to my account.  My friend is unable to see all my public playlists when viewing my account from a browser or the downloaded spotify app.  Furthermore, the playlists do not show up when she searches the title of a given playlist explicitly.  Has any progress been made on resolving this issue?

Hey @aeh2196,

Welcome to the Community and thank you for joining the conversation.

To start investigating this case, would you mind checking if those playlists were added to your profile? You can do this by opening the playlist in your app and hitting the 3-dot menu.

If you have an option that says "Remove from your profile" it means that the playlist is already added. But if instead the option is "Add to your profile" it's not yet displayed on your profile, but you can hit that option to add it.

However, if you want to share a playlist with another user, we'd always recommend sending the link by using the "share" option on the same 3-dot menu so they can access it directly. If they want to keep it in their library, they'll need to hit the ♥ button.

Hope this helps. If you have any additional questions, don't hesitate to ask.
