My liked songs wont sync on my phone

My Question or Issue

My phone is my major playing device and I 95% add music to liked using it, but i recently added a discography from a band and they wont shuffle into my liked list when played. Ive cleared cache, done full reinstall (of 3600 plus songs 😞 ) and tried on my tv and it shuffled into one of the songs without issue.

Thanks for posting in the Community.

Could you try adding the songs to a different account and see if they're getting shuffled? Use your mobile device for that.

They did shuffle on the same account but on a different device (my tv) in the same playlist but wont on my phone.

The band in question is volbeat but it feels like the shuffle wont choose anything after a certain point, i only scrolled through 200 songs or so but i have over 3600 and 100 odd are volbeat and the odds they dont show up randomly is high.

Thanks for the post.

On Spotify, the shuffle algorithm prioritizes songs which you tend to listen to more often, so in very large playlists like your Liked Songs you might not get all the songs in the shuffle pool from the get go. 

What you can try is to listen to the album a couple of times, and start playback from one of the Volbeat songs in your Liked Songs. The more you listen to a band, the more likely it is to get their songs when you shuffle a large playlist. 

On different devices, the content is requested using a different mechanism, so that's why the newly added songs are appearing when you listen to the list on your TV.

That makes perfect sense but leaves me wanting "true" randomizaton as an option, but thanks, was really annoying trying to figure out what i did wrong lol
