Need assistance from someone with a pc

Need assistance from someone with a pc

Hey there,

A while back my spotify account was taken over by someone and during that period they liked over 5000 songs that has essentially ruined the algorithm for me.

Spotify claims they cannot undue this and since I only have android device I would have to unlike each song individually which is simply not fees able.

Apparently with a windows pc you can unlike everything at once. I realize I am putting my account potentially at risk with this request, but if anyone is willing to do this for me, I'll provide my login details. I do not use same login details for more than a single account etc. So the risk is limited.

Odd request I am sure, but I am currently on a job site for a long duration and all we have are android devices.

Thanks

Hey @user-removed,

Thanks for posting on the Community.

We’d like to apologize for the inconveniences. Even though you don't have access to the desktop app, you should never share your login details with anybody, especially on a public space like the Community. This will help you to maintain your account and your details secure.

On another note, even though our CS team won't be able to remove all the songs from your library, they should be able to revert any recent unauthorized changes made in there. Keep in mind this will only revert the changes made in the account after a particular date; so, if there were saved songs before that, they won't be affected.

If you want to remove all saved songs in your library, the best way to go would be to create a new account and start over from there. Keep in mind that the algorithm is not only based on the account's liked songs, but the Listening history as well. So a new account is the best and fastest option to start clean. This way the algorithm can learn from the start.

Lastly, if you have any subscription, we suggest to cancel it first if you want to create a new account. As soon as the account is on our free service, you’ll be able to close it permanently to avoid confusion in the future. You’ll find the steps to do it here.

We'll be here if anything else comes up.

Cheers!
