My Question or Issue

When I save an album as a playlist in a folder, only the album title is saved not the artist. This is really annoying, especially if they are relatively new, unfamiliar additions. It makes things hard to find, especially from the drop down menu on the left of the screen. Can this be rectified simply?

Hi @spiritofradio,

Thank you for reaching out about this!

At the moment, this is the expected way that playlists work. We understand it may not be ideal for you and we appreciate your feedback and we'll make sure to pass it on to the right folks. For now, we'd recommend making sure your app is up to date so you don't miss any important updates.

I get that this might be the "expected way" that things are done. It appears that such decisions are made by people who hate music. Spotify make themselves very hard to love at times.

Hey @spiritofradio,

Thanks for your reply.

We understand your frustration with this situation from your current experience as a user. However, we believe that you can still edit the auto-generated playlists' names to include the artists' names and other relevant info at a later stage. This could be done when you right-click on a playlist from the left sidebar and choose the "Edit details" option.

Hope this clears things up. If you have any questions or need anything else, the Community is here for you.

I understand that. However, it makes for a poor user experience when you
have to go through thousands of playlists to correct something that most
users would expect to be included as a basic necessity. Imagine if vinyl or
CD were released without this information.
