My Question or Issue

I am unable to ctrl or shift click to select multiple songs in a playlist and perform actions such as un-liking them anymore. I know this feature worked in the past and was wondering what happened to it or if its just user error.

Hi @jtfuchs

This feature is working for me.

Could you attach a screen recording of what happens when you try to select multiple songs at once?

Also, could you provide your Spotify version and if you got it from the Spotify website or the Microsoft Store?

You can find your Spotify version by going to Help > About Spotify.

Then, you can click copy.

Thanks

I realize my mistake now.

I was using a preinstalled Spotify app on my new computer, which apparently was NOT Spotify for Windows, but instead what appears to be a Chrome based version that does not have the same functionality. I noticed this because of your screenshot. My version did not look the same as yours and did not have that same drop down menu to find the Help > About Spotify page.

Thank you!

Ah, I see.

That is the web player, which has been "installed" using Chrome, which basically acts as a shortcut. Why they would pre-install that shortcut, I have no idea.

You can install the UWP Spotify desktop application from the Microsoft Store (here), or the x64 version from the Spotify website (here).

Glad you figured it out! 🙂

Let me know if you need anything else
