Notification Bar shows the wrong song

Notification Bar shows the wrong song

I noticed whenever I play a song from the search bar, my notification wouldn't change to the correct song and will display the last song I played. After that, no matter what song I play from the search bar or my playlists, the same song will still be displayed.

I tried fiddling with the notification settings and nothing seem to work.

My Question or Issue

The song on the now playing notifications tab doesn't change. it has all the buttons however when the song changes, the time bar resets but the song name and artist doesn't change.

I have the same problem so I think it is a bug with the app

I have a Samsung Galaxy S9, and I've been having the same issue in the past 1-2 weeks.

Android. Samsung Galaxy S22, fully updated UI and app.
On both notification preview (settings dropdown) and on lock screen preview, the first song played is stuck as "now playing." Can't see the current song unless I open the app.

Having the same issue as of today on my galaxy z flip 3

 

Same issue on POCO X5 Pro 5G (Android 14 SuperiorExtended) and Redmi Note 12 Pro (Android 13 MIUI 14). seems to be something to do with latest updates.

Thank you for reaching out to the Community and sorry for the long wait as we just came across this thread.

 

This type of issue related to the notification bar is commonly caused by some damaged cache stored on your device. So first, in order to cover all the basics, we'd recommend performing a clean reinstall of the app by following the steps in this article. This process will replace all damaged files and ensure you're running the latest app version.

 

If the issue persists, include in your next response the OS version of your device, along with the Spotify version you're currently running to continue investigating the case.

There is a bug on android Samsung a52. When the app stops and then turns on again the banner is stuck by showing that the old song is being played, while in fact other songs continue playing
