One song won't download.

My Question or Issue

The song: Two Princes - Spin Doctors Album Pocket Full Of Kryptonite, won't download (red circle with arrow) spotify:track:4ePP9So5xRzspjLFVVbj90. The song will still play. All other songs are downloading fine (green circle with arrow). I have removed the song from my 'liked songs', tried to download it again, but still won't download. Please help.

We tested this and can confirm that there shouldn't be any issues with downloading the song you mentioned. 

Would you mind trying to download it on a different internet connection or to download all your Liked Songs including this one after reinstalling Spotify to see if anything changes? If you still experience what you reported, it'd be great if you'd let us know the following:

• how much free space is currently available on the device you're trying to download this song with
• how many songs you already downloaded with the same device

I've had the exact same problem with the same song since a week or so.

I'm located in Germany.

Hi, Mario. I do have plenty of space on my device. As I said I my original post "other songs download fine". The same happens on my iPad with that song only.

Hey @jwherd and @Feleane,

Would you mind opening Settings > Storage in the app and then tapping DELETE CACHE to see if you're then able to download the song?

If that doesn't do the trick, it'd be great to try a clean reinstall of Spotify. It'll provide you with a bran-new as well as the most up-to-date version of the app. As a heads-up, any offline playlists will need to be downloaded again after. Take a look at this Spotify answer to find out more about how this procedure works.

I did already try that. I reinstalled the app aswell as I cleaned the Cache, but nothing has changed.

Deleting the cache didn't do the trick. How come other songs can download fine, but this one song won't? I've reported the error to Spotify, for this specific song, but they were no help.

I'm not worried about this song. But I was just wondering why this was happening? The song does stream though, it just won't download.

I've tried all this...I'm only trying to download 1 playlist with 10 songs a total of 38 minutes and I cannot get it done. I don't have anything else downloaded in the app. Plenty of available space. I've been at this 4 hours so far. Not cool.

I have the same problem and deleting didn’t help, I live in South Africa but was in Germany when the problems arrived.
