I'm listening to music normally, put my pc to sleep and as soon as I turn it on and go back to the app, what I was listening to does not come up and it is already being annoying.

Any fix?

Hey,

Thanks for reaching out.

As a first step, can you please let us know the following:

  • Your exact OS version and Spotify version.
  • Have you tried any troubleshooting steps like clean reinstalling the app?
  • Does this happen every time you put the PC to sleep or just when it's for an extended period of time?

Keep us posted.

Hi

Windows 10 22H2, Spotify for Windows 1.2.10.760.g52970952

Yes, I have reinstalled the app once only

Only when the PC is put to sleep as far as I have seen, no matter if it is shut for 5 minutes or 10 hours

Hey @MetalClip,

Thanks for getting back to us.

The behavior you mention is expected due to a number of factors such as the OS, factory settings and limitations from certain devices.

We can see how that would be a handy feature and we appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback with us. Rest assured, we will make sure to pass on this information to our developers to keep working on the app's optimization, as we always strive to improve your experience.

In the meantime, please make sure to keep your app up to date with the latest version, so you don't miss out any important fixes or features.

Hopefully you'll see if it gets improved, however, we can't guarantee when or if this will be taken into consideration.

Cheers 🙂
