PLEASE give me back my Discover Weekly taste profile!

I've LOVED my Discover Weekly for years, usually playing it on loop all week long. Just the perfect mix of palatable, novel electronic-style music.

Last week I set up my home audio system, and played some classic stuff like Sublime, Led Zeppelin, the Doors etc for my roommates. I made sure to Exclude from Recommendations everything I played.

This morning I wake up to a playlist full of Jerry Garcia and Phish, like I'm some boomer at a bbq. Help! Have I ruined Spotify for myself forever?

Thanks for the post.

Not to worry, your Discover Weekly updates based on your listening activity. If you keep listening to the electronic music you love, the playlists will adjust over time. 

In the meantime, you can try editing your Taste profile and removing those songs you don't like from your taste profile. If you've already done this, it should take a week or two for the recommendations algorithm to adjust.

In the future, you can switch on Private Session when listening to music with your friends, so it doesn't influence your personal recommendations.
