My Question or Issue

I had some christmas playlists that I didn't want cluttering up my library for the whole year so I decided to put them in a folder. I went onto the online web player and created a folder called 'Archive' where I put all my unwanted playlists. Then I rearranged my custom playlist order. All worked, no problems.

But when I go onto the desktop or mobile app and set the playlist order to custom, it just randomizes them and doesn't keep the order I put them in on the web player. Also, on the desktop and mobile app, the playlist folder I made says it has 0 playlists in it, and all my unwanted christmas playlists are just out in my library.

I really don't know why it's doing this and I have no idea how to fix it, but it's extremely irritating. If anyone knows how to fix it please help me out.

Hey @lucyanne

Help’s here!

If the order of your playlists appears as expected only when using the web player you might need to run a clean reinstall of the Spotify app on your PC and mobile device. This will get you the latest app version and refresh the app features.

Another thing you can try is to test if you experience similar issues when using a different Spotify account on the same device. This will show if we're dealing with an account-related issue. If it works with another account, you can follow the steps in this Spotify Answer next.
