[Playlist] Song that you select “Start Radio” from is not included in the radio playlist

[Playlist] Song that you select “Start Radio” from is not included in the radio playlist

iOS.

When listening to a song (either individually or part of a playlist / album) half way through if you select "Start Radio" you are taken to a radio playlist of similar songs, but the original song you were listing to is not included in the radio playlist. When the original song finishes it continues playing from the original playlist / album, and the radio playlist doesn't play unless you select "shuffle play".  If you select "start radio" the radio playlist should play at the end of the original song - or at the very least the original song should be included in the radio.

  • device + OS version
  • exact Spotify version
  • does this happen with a specific song, or with any song?

We haven't heard back from you in a while - we just wanted to confirm if you're still experiencing this.

 

If you do, could you try performing a clean reinstallation of the app on your iPhone device and let us know if that does the trick for you? 

 

If the issue persists, it'd be helpful if you could let us know the following so we can pass them along to our tech teams:

  • Your device and its operating version
  • The exact Spotify version you're on
  • Does this happen with a specific song, or with any song?

Thanks for reporting this to us!

 

Since we couldn't reproduce it and we haven't received any other contacts or reports after we asked for more info, we're now moving this thread to the Help Boards.

 

Let us know if more of you are experiencing this. Feel free to give us all the details we've asked about previously, if you need help with that.
