My Question or Issue

There was a "made for you" playlist years ago that I liked so I saved it, and it didn't update or change. Suddenly all the songs in it have changed and it's awful now. Why has this happened, and how can I drop it happening to other saved playlists? Can I make them static, somehow?

Hey @vparkinson

It's not uncommon for a public or personalized playlist to be deleted or changed, and unfortunately there's no way to recover it if you're not the owner.

I'd recommend adding to your library (or saving into a private playlist) music you like from public playlists. That way you can customize it to your own liking.

Also, opening a last.fm account is a great way to keep track of what you listen in Spotify, and most other music players. You just need to add your last.fm account info in the Spotify preferences, and it will log what you listen to. With this, you'll be able to see what you were listening at any point in time.

Hope it helps. 🙂

Thanks, @osornios, I guess I thought I had saved the specific playlist I liked by saving it, but clearly not. Thanks for the last FM tip.
