My Question or Issue

Collaborator added songs, that are not added to the list that I can see, via app and Web browser on desktop.

You can always try removing the cached data by following these steps and/ or you could log out and back in twice in a row to trigger a manual sync of your settings to see if that would make a difference. However, you mentioning that the playlist doesn't update on any platform makes me think that the issue lies elsewhere - 

 

What I would do is try creating a new Collaborative playlist and check if the same issue would persist with the new playlist as well. 
If it doesn't, this might be an issue with your specific initial playlist for some reason. If the issue persists with all playlists though, we'd like you to send us a screenshot of how the playlist looks like on your end and on the device of your friend.
