Playlist starts shuffling when shuffle is off

My Question or Issue

So because of Spotify shuffle playing the same 100 or so songs whenever I shuffle, sometimes the same song twice in one day, I shuffle my playlist using an external shuffler and then play the playlist in order only the problem is after about 150 songs, it starts playing songs from the playlist randomly as if shuffle was turned on rather than continuing in order.

I mostly listen on my phone but I'll occasionally switch to my PC to delete the songs already played to try and prevent this happening but it's quite tedious then going through and removing the songs its already played after skipping loads so that I can't just select a chunk in one go.

My playlist does have around 2,800 songs so I'm not sure if this is related to the issue but the shuffle button never highlights whilst it is doing this.

Is there any way to stop this from happening?
