I've been listening to my Liked Songs on shuffle for the last hour or so and it's played 5 songs that I listened to already (played them a second time). I checked, and there are no duplicates of these songs. My Liked Songs is over 600 songs, so I don't get why it's doing this. Anyone know the issue?

Hi there @firebuff101,

Thank you for the post.

The Shuffle algorithm on Spotify favors songs which you tend to listen to more often. This is why you're hearing some songs getting repeated, even though your Liked Songs playlists contains hundreds of songs.

There are other users out there, who feel like Shuffle should be totally random. If you want to support this idea, leave your +Vote here. The more votes an idea gets, the more likely it will get implemented.

Cheers.

This might, officially, be the dumbest thing I've read in a long time. What is the point of having Shuffle if it's not actually going to shuffle? Unless it's on repeat, I don't want to hear the song I just heard 15 minutes ago. Spotify has been going very downhill as of late. ADDITIONALLY, that topic has been open for over three years. Don't lie and tell me that voting for it is going to help.
