Podcast not playing twice in music playlist

My Question or Issue

Hi. I have this one podcast in my playlist full of songs. I like to put that playlist on repeat but the podcast one never plays a second time. I'm guessing it's because I already finished listening to the podcast once so it doesn't see the point of repeating it. I want to podcast on repeat, along with the rest of the songs. Is there something I can do about it?

This situation really seems as an expected behavior. We can confirm that podcast episodes aren't factored within a repeat, as the usual usage scenario for a podcast episode is to be listened and then to move on to a different one. The only way to make the podcast play again is to mark it as unplayed.

Just a quick follow up on this topic!

We've noticed that the app is behaving differently now and it is actually factoring in podcasts within playlist repeats. Regardless of their listen status, they are now being played again when a playlist is set to repeat. Could we ask you to check again if now this works on your end as well? If there are any pending updates for your Spotify app, just make sure you run them beforehand 🙂
