My Question or Issue

I am having random artists replace others under 'Recently played artists' in my profile.

The songs listed in my 'Recently played' are correct but not what is shown on my profile. I also do not follow the artists that are replacing others at the moment but do follow the ones I did listen to. Also I had been listening to one of my playlists and then switch to a Spotify This is playlist. This is also on both app and desktop.

Hey @ahistZUNE

Thanks for your reply.

We took a closer look and it looks like your recently played artist history is correct. We noticed that the "This is Squirrel Nut Zippers" playlist has a song by Asleep at the wheel where Squirrel Nut Zippers is a featured artist. That's why Asleep at the wheel shows in the recently played artist as well.

Hope this clears things up. If you need a hand with anything else, the Community is here for you.

Hey there @ahistZUNE

Just to confirm, have you ever listened to those artists that replaced the others?

If you haven't, we'd recommend taking a look at this FAQ and following the steps you can find there. This will ensure that your account is secure in case someone else has gained access to it.

@eni My account is secure - the issues is that recently played songs and recently played artist listed in profile did not match - World Inferno/Friendship Society being replaced with Asleep At The Wheel. I have not listened to Asleep At The Wheel that I recall - I listen to World Inferno/Friendship Society often and they are on multiple playlists. Switched to the This is Squirrel Nut Zippers playlist, did chores and looked at my computer which had my profile open and noticed it was wrong and then checked my phone which was the same. All others shown were also correct. Have noticed posts from other users with similar issues recently.

@eni Oh my 🙃 I am very much stuck in the groove and did not catch that and thank you much appreciated! Also was very confused because Spotify has never listed the second artist attached to a song in recently played before and World Inferno/Friendship Society was still missing.
