Recently Played section not updating for three months

"I reported this problem but it did not matter to anyone" I'm tired of seeing this repetitive thing every time I open Spotify

For whatever reason, devs at spotify decided that the pinned playlists (what you have shown here) will only update when you listen to music via their web platform (open.spotify.com). It won't get updated if you listen elsewhere.

Thank you for reaching out to the Community.
 
To start, we'd recommend that you make sure that you listen to more of your favorite tracks with the Private session feature off. Also, please clear the cache of all the devices you use, log out and back in to sync things up. You can find the steps here.
 
If the issue persists, can you confirm if it happens across different devices?
