My Question or Issue

Spotify just automatically unfollowed almost a thousand artists I was previously following.

How can I recover these as there’s no way I can remember all that were erased?

Was this caused by my recent failed attempt to update my spotify account?

These lost artists make up almost 5 years of new artist discoveries and I am freaking out about this loss.

Hey @Brianna19971

Try logging into your Spotify profile on your browser here with your email. Your username will be displayed after you login.

After that, check the status of your subscription. If everything looks ok, logout of the app in your device, and be sure to use that username, instead of your email address, to login to your account.

It's the one with the Premium features, and hopefully your followed artists.

Hope it helps. 🙂

I followed your instructions but my artist follower account still sits at
1318 when it was previously well over 2000.
Could this all be related to a notification I keep getting on my laptop
Spotify account informing me that “your operating system is out of date”
and encouraging me to upgrade my iOS to the most recent version despite the
fact I already have it?
I don’t know when exactly 40% of my artists vanished but I think it
coincides with when I started getting these notifications for a non
existing problem.

Have you tried using a different device to see if that may be causing it?

Yeah and that didn’t work 😢

Thanks for the cooperation @Brianna19971!
