My Question or Issue

The Shuffle functionality has suddenly stopped working. It doesn't matter whether I use it on my laptop or on my phone, but selecting 'Shuffle' doesn't do anything anymore.

I had the playlist sorted by 'Artist' and it was simply playing the next song (in my case, the next chronological song in the album for that artist). I've also confirmed though that if I change the sorting, to anything like Custom or Song Title, it still plays the playlist as if it's sorted by Artist.

I just updated Spotify on my laptop to 1.1.57.443.ga029a6c4-a and it's either coincidental that this started happening then, or it's something else entirely.

Anyone else having this issue?

Hey there @__koreyjames

Thanks for reaching out about this in the Community.

We'd first recommend performing a clean reinstall of the app on both devices. This is often an overlooked step, but it can be helpful to get rid of any corrupted files that might be causing issues.

If this doesn't do the trick, could you ask a friend or a family member to log in to their personal account using any of your devices to see if they can replicate this?

We'll keep an eye out for your reply.
