Skipping songs on every platform for me?

My Question or Issue

I resubbed to Spotify after a 5 year break, but every platform I'm trying to use it on, its skipping songs, so i click on the song at the top of the playlist, it skips past about 8 songs, then starts playing something, only to skip that 10 seconds later - completely unusable. 

Tried restarting router as suggested, restarted devices, no effect. 

Any help appreciated.

We've been receiving reports about this issue recently and are currently looking into the matter. Can you please send us the following info:

- Device model and OS version 

- Spotify app version

- Does this happen with any playlist/ album/ artist or just certain ones?

Hi Alex, 

I've figured it out, it seems to be caused by the switch from a free account, to a premium. It's settled down now and has stopped doing it. 

Probably something in the code relating to the app not being restarted before and after resubbing.
