My Question or Issue

So alright. I've been having a issue for some time now that I find really irritating.

So every now and then(maybe every other day or sometimes twice a day) one song gets added to my top 8-10 playlists. Even the ones I'm collaborating on.

The song that gets added is from the same artist every time but varying which song it is.  It always gets added to 2nd place in my playlists.

Initially I thought Id been hacked and someone was messing with me, so obviously I changed my password. This didnt help. So I searched my PC for keyloggers - Nothing.

I then tried logginf out all devices, changed password again and reinstalling the client.

Nothing has worked.  I'm going nuts as some of my lists are very specific in genre and getting some random **bleep** mixed in there is annoying as all **bleep**.

I need help!

Hi there @Pryce,

thanks for reaching out !

If you're experiencing odd behavior on your account i would suggest checking out this help page and this one as well.

Both pages have all the steps needed to strengthen your account's protection.

However, as you've already done some steps the were meant to block it with no success, creating a new account might be a good option here.

Furthermore, if you do decide to take this option, please use this official Spotify Answer to move all your content safely to the new account.

Hope this helps.

Let me know how it goes 🙂

this happens to me too. it's not a question of security -- it's a feature from spotify that i wish i could turn off. i'm not sure if you can turn it off as a premium member (i use a free account) but it is really annoying.
