My Question or Issue
After updating my Spotify app, when using CarPlay the (+) button no longer adds songs to my liked songs playlist. Instead it seems to be adding songs to whatever playlist I have listened to most recently. Is there a way to set the default playlist CarPlay adds songs to? When I look in my app after trying to like songs in the car I have to find whatever playlist I had most recently listened to and then manually add all the songs I tried to like to liked songs (meaning they are not being added to liked songs in addition to the random playlists, they are only being added to the random playlists now).
Hey @eggscrambles,
Thanks for reaching out and for informing us about this 🙂
I believe that if you add and remove a random song to your Liked playlist on your phone before connecting to your vehicle, this will default the likes made from it to the Liked Songs playlist. Unless there's an option that appears on the screen where you can select a different playlist as it is with the mobile & desktop apps, this looks like the easiest workaround for the time being.
Hope this helps!
Hi,
That would work if I wanted to listen to my liked songs playlist or potentially if I was listening through an album. However most of the time I listen to playlists while driving so it's not a practical solution. It would be best if the button added to a consistent playlist like it did before the update or if a way to choose the default was added. This is especially frustrating since when using my phone or desktop the liked songs is still the default and this is an instance when it would be more useful for the default playlist to be the one I'm using.

My Question or Issue
per the recent app updates for IOS devices, there is no indication for saved/liked song when i use CarPlay in my car. It's usually happened if my songs are in Q and not saved in any playlist. More over now when i click on V bottom it's saving in the fastest playlist, maybe for some ppl it's good, but I prefer it to use it as adding to my liked songs like it's used to be
