My Question or Issue

Hi everyone, I have a very frustrating problem. Certain songs on my liked songs playlist will not play, the scroll bar at the bottom shows buffering however will never actually play. If I skip the song then revert immediately back to it, it will play straight away. This happens on both WiFi and 4/5g. My liked songs are set to be downloaded to be available offline so I’m not sure why this is happening. I have had Spotify for years with no issues but now it’s driving me insane! Please help, thanks.

Thanks for posting in the Community and welcome. 

 

In this case, we suggest you start off with a clean reinstall of the app on your smartphone. By doing that the app can be up-to-date and you can make sure the cache is not leading to this inconvenience. You can find out the steps for doing it here. Be aware you'll need to re-download the content to listen offline.

 

If the above doesn't do the trick, we'd like to gather some additional info. Would you mind sharing with us the exact Spotify version you're running on your mobile device? Do you notice if this is happening on a different playlist? Is this just happening on playlists you've downloaded? If not sure, try it and let us know how it goes.

 

Did you notice if this started to happen after a specific event such as an OS update? If yes, please share with us as many details as possible.

My Question or Issue

I play Spotify all day in my office at work, and every single time a song ends, I have to go back to the Spotify tab and skip the song it is stuck on, before it'll continue playing. It will not ever start the next song in my rotation, even if i want to listen to it, I have to click skip in order to get any music to play. The main button shows a Pause button as if the song is currently playing and can be paused, but the timer stays at 0:00 and the only way to move on is to skip, and this happens every time a song ends all day instead of being able to play music throughout the day without clicking into the site again to skip songs every 2 minutes.
