Spotify created a playlist I don't like and it defaults to it

Spotify created a playlist called Pop for Kids. It defaults to that playlist every time I open the app. I can't delete the playlist or get it to stop default playing. I've turned off every "autoplay" option in the app.

Thanks for reaching out on the Community.

Just want to clarify something first - by defaults to the playlist - do you mean that it show up in the Now playing bar on the bottom of the app or you just see it in your shortcuts and recommendations on the Home screen?

We do have the option ''Exclude from taste profile'' for playlists which you can find in the 3 dot when you open the playlist. This will ensure that you get less or no recommendations based on this list but if you see it in the Now playing bar at the bottom you'd need to clear the cache of the app as it might be causing some issues.

Right now we don't have a way to remove a certain playlist from popping up as a recommendation on the Home screen of the app or in search. 

I can also recommend that you to keep listening to the playlists you do like which will show the algorithm what content your would prefer to get. Saving lists and songs to Your Library has quite the positive effect as well.

It starts playing when I open the app. Since it starts playing the playlist, the algorithm thinks I like it because it registers it being played. Previously it only showed "include in taste profile" when i clicked on the 3 dot. I uninstalled spotify again and reinstalled it and now it shows the option to "exlude from taste profile" so I will select that. Hopefully that helps!
